 4. INDAIN NATIONAL MOVEMENT (1885 - 1905)

-The history of the Indain National Movement can be studied in three important  phases:

(i) The phase of Moderate (1885 - 1905) when the congress continued to be loyal to the British crown.

(ii) The phase of Extresmist (1905 - 1917) witnesed wadeshi Movement, rise of Militant natioanlism and the hoem rule Movement 

(iii) The Phase of Gandhian era (1917 - 1947)

(National conference and Indain National Union merged to form the Indain National congress in (1885)

The Indian National congresss (INC) 1885

-Allan octavin Hume, a retired civil servant in the British Governemtn took the Initiavative to form an all-India organisation, The Indain National congress was founded and its first session was held at bombay in 1885.

- The first session of the Indain National congress was held ar Gokuldas Tejpal sanskrit collage in Bombay under hte Presidntship of w.c Bannerji, overIndia. they disussed hte problems of all the irrespective of thier religion, caste, language and regions.
