-Lord vasudeva was first worshipped in western indai. Besnagar inscrition (2nd cetury BC) states that the cults received royal patronage. soon Vasudeva was identifeid whith Narayana And Krsihna.

-This cult emphasised on Bhakti and Ahimsa.


4.4 SAIVISM

-Shiba is identifeis with the Rig vedic God Rudra He was worshipped in from the linga (phallus) Gundimalla linga is the oldest idol of shiva excavated from Renugunta in Andhra pradesh.

 -Pasupathi is the oldest cult founded by Lakulisa Kapalika is the tanteic cult who worship Mahakal, Kapal abhirt and Bhairav.

-Kalukhsa another tantic cult flourished in Karnataka . Aghories worshipped goddesses sitala and Kali.

-Kanpahta or gora khanti cult was propounded by gorakhnath in Eastern Bengal

_Suddasaiva cult was expounded by srikant sevacharya, Virasiha or Ligayat cult was founded by basava.


4.5 CHRISTIANITY

-christianity was founded by jesus christ bible is the holy book of Christians and the sign of cross is thier holy symbol.
