1.Harsha founded the Harsha era in 606 A.D.

2.Harsha made Kannauj ( Uttar Pradesh) as his capital. 

3.Old capital was   Thaneshwar, Haryana 

4 Pulakesin-II, was the great Chalukya king,

5 Pulakesin-II defeated Harsha  on the banks of Narmada in 620. 

6. Chinese Pilgrim, Hiuen Tsang (Prince of Traverlers) visited during Harsha  reign.

7.Harsha used to celebrate a solemn festival at Prayag (Allahabad), at the end of every five years. It is said that this was the beginning of Kumbha fair. 

8.Harsha  established a large monastery at Nalanda. 

9.Banabhattta wrote  Harshacharita and Kadambari.

10. Harsha himself wrote 3 plays- (i) Priyadarshika, (ii) Ratnavali and (iii) Nagananda.
