13 Circulatory system

 CORCULATORY SYSTEM

It so a very important system in human body

Scientist William Harvey in the year 1628 discovered blood circulation system

Heart

Cover of heart is called pericardium which protects the heart

weight of heart = 300 grams.

Hum, an heart in 4 Chambered - 2 pericardium which protects the heart

Weight of heart =300 grams.

Human heart is 4 chambered 2 auricles and 2 ventricles.

Tricuspid value is found between the right auricle and the right ventricle.

Bicuspid value is found between left auricle and left ventricle.

Veins are blood vessels carrying the blood from the body towards the heart they contains insure blood exception

: pulmonary artery carries impure artery artery contains pure blood Exception: pulmonary artery carries impure blood from right ventricle to lungs.

Right part of the heart - impure blood

Left part of the heart - pure blood.

Coronary Artery: The artery carrying blood to the muscles of the hearted Any type of hindrance in it cause heart attack.

COURSE OF CIRCULATION

Double circulation :  when blood creases the two times before circulating throughout the body is called double circulation

found in mammal.

cardiac cycle : Rhythmic systole 9contraction) and diastole (relaxation) of auricle and ventricle is Known as cardiac cycle.

SA  Node 9sino -Auricular/sinoatrial)

1. SA Node also known as pace makers

2. Generates each wave of cardiac impulse.

AV NODE ( Auricula ventricular)

-wave of contraction is picked up by AV node which spreads through

-Sphygmomanometer - Blood pressure measuring instrument.

Thyroxine and adrenaline controls the heart beat.

Lymph 1. The light yellow fluid in  inter - cellular intervals between different tissues and cellars is called lymph.

2. It  is a fluid in which nutrient, oxygen and various other substance are present.

3. It forms lymphocytes which are the corpuscles found in lymph These are WBCs.

4. Lymph flows only in one direction from tissue towards heart.

5. Function: It prevents the body from contracting diseased by killing the harmful bacteria.

6. Helps in healing the wound

7. It circulates different material from tissues to venis.
