Calssification:

It can be divided into following categories:

1. Epithelial Tissue

2. Connective tissue

3. Muscular Tissue

4. nervous Tissue

1. Epithelial Tissue : This tissue covers the external surface of a body and internal free surface of many organs. the cells of this tissue are arranged and very close to

each other. No blood vessels supply nourishment to epithelial cells and they receive nourishment from underlaying connective tissue.

Example : Skin, Intestine ,Nasal passage bronchioles, trachea.

2. Connective Tissue: Main functions of this tissue is to connect and bind different tissues. 

It helps in defense, repair, fat storage etc. and gives structural frame work and mechanical support to body.

Example : Ligament - made up of fibrous connective tissue, Adipose tissues beneath the skin.

3. Muscular Tissue : It is also Known as contractile tissue . All the muscles of the body are made up of this tissue.

Muscular tissue is of three types:

 (i) Un Striped Rectum, alimentary canal

(ii) striped and 

(iii) cardiac

4. Nervous Tissue: It is also called sensitive tissue. Nervous system of the organisms up to these tissues. Two specific cells are found nerve cell or neurons and Neuroglial nervous tissue controls all the voluntary and involuntary activities of the body.
